Context + Motivation, Engagement, and Persistence, in Math Study

This study explores how concepts of motivation, engagement, and persistence (MEP) present in the classroom as well as how curriculum can be developed and Digital Learning Platforms (DLPs) can be leveraged to support students’ motivation, engagement, and persistence and therefore better math learning outcomes. Findings also highlight the contexts influencing student MEP as well as promising tools and approaches for facilitating student MEP.

Assessments in Math and ELA

In partnership with EdSolutions, ResultsLab worked to collect insights from the Community Insight Network from perspectives of digital assessment tool users and buyers. By tapping perspectives of the Community Insights Network, this study aimed to elevate the perspectives of grades 3-8, math and/or ELA teachers and coaches as assessment users, and school/district assessment leaders as buyers of assessment products to inform the Gates Foundation’s efforts to drive innovation in the assessment space.
