Q: What’s your favorite quote/mantra?

“And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good.” ― John Steinbeck, East of Eden

Q: Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?

An Italian pasta chef!!

Q: What are your top 3 favorite podcasts/books/blogs to follow?

Q: What is something people in your industry/niche have to deal with that you want to fix?

There are a lot of people are organizations who believe in the power of data and its ability to help make informed and strategic decisions. However, many lack the capacity, time, or funding to implement data structures that help answer specific questions. In my work, I want to continue reducing barriers that prevent strong evaluative work. By doing so, I also hope to influence data practices from the ground up and help educate more funders around data usefulness and the need to let their funded organizations and programs track and report the data that best tells their story.

Q: What are your hobbies?

Listening to audiobooks while on walks with my dog, trying out new breweries with my partner, Joe, and trying my hand at new crafts like painting or embroidery. Any day where I get to do all three is about as perfect as can be.

Q: Tell us something we don’t know about you.

During undergrad, I stumbled into an anthropology class and became hooked on understanding and appreciating the diversity of our cultures. Simultaneously, I declared a minor in mathematics because I enjoyed the mental challenge. At the time, I felt my studies were an odd juxtaposition, but looking back it all makes sense. In my job today, I use storytelling and human experiences alongside statistical data in my mixed-methodology research designs that aim to improve impact in the social sector!

Q: Describe your job in 3 words.
  • Inquisitive
  • Creative
  • Motivating

Q: What do you appreciate most about working at ResultsLab?

I love the sense of fulfillment I feel at the end of the workday. I leave my job knowing that, through data and insights, I have helped organizations make informed decisions about how to improve their impact. This means that, through our collective hard work, the ResultsLab team and our partners are doing what we can to use data for “good” and to help make our communities more inclusive, equitable, and just places to live.
