Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in evaluation and data use?

I often ponder the following question: What do individuals and communities need to thrive? I want to live in a world where individuals are flourishing mentally, physically, financially, and so much more! I believe we can use data in impactful ways to build a world where all can thrive.

Q: How have the roles you’ve held in the past contributed to how you work now?

In past roles, I have been committed to centering the experiences of those most impacted by social injustice. I have that same commitment at ResultsLab.

Q: What’s your favorite quote/mantra?

“Let this radicalize you rather than lead you to despair.” – Mariame Kaba

Q: Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?

I would love to swap places with a TV writer. I long to be in a writer’s room and witness the creative process!

Q: What are your top 3 favorite podcasts/books/blogs to follow?
  • Code Switch (Podcast)
  • Floodlines (Podcast)
  • Louder than A Riot (Podcast)

Q: What is something people in your industry/niche have to deal with that you want to fix?

I feel that people do not always make a commitment to living their values. Many people value equity and justice, but this isn’t reflected in their actions. To paraphrase Mariame Kaba, I am committed to reducing the gap between values and actions.

Q: What are your hobbies?

I love reading, listening to live music, and trying vegan restaurants.

Q:  Tell us something we don’t know about you.

I am an independent film enthusiast! I regularly attend film festivals.
