Inclusive Data Workshop Social Posts_V3

Learn and practice simple techniques for updating your organization’s data practices to be more integrated with and representative of the community you serve.  Watch this webinar where you will walk away with an action plan for promoting a culture of data inclusivity at your organization.

Who is this workshop for:

  • Program leaders of nonprofits, state and local agencies, school districts, and other community-based organizations
  • Data managers, program staff, and others responsible for measuring and demonstrating programmatic outcomes

In this workshop you will:

Develop a deeper understanding of how to practically integrate more equitable data-driven decision-making in your everyday work. We will share best practices for incorporating representative voices into data-driven programming — from program design to measurement to decision-making — and the practical tools and templates to help you get started right away. You will identify facilitators and barriers to inclusive data practices at your organization and develop a set of actions to carry forward after the workshop. Your learning experience will be a blend of peer sharing, individual exploration, and experiential learning (breakout rooms and reflections). Throughout this course you will:

  • Learn how to avoid pitfalls of common data practices that can exacerbate bias
  • Gain exposure to inclusive design, measure, act tools and techniques
  • Examine how biases emerge in data analysis and interpretation
  • Explore methods for recruiting more diverse voices to collaborate in building your program design and data practice
  • Learn about others’ challenges and strategies for becoming more inclusive and representative organizations
  • Build a responsive plan to transform your organization’s data mindset, skillset, and toolset, considering current capacities and context

Participants will walk away with a solid foundation to:

  • Promote an organizational culture of inclusive data and evaluation practices
  • Identify hidden pitfalls that inhibit inclusive data practices
  • (Re)design data collection to be more accessible to diverse audiences
  • Shift power dynamics from extractive to collaborative
